Not sure about mileage, but power and sound is better. As others stated, will not work with tow hitch. Mechanic custom made turn down tip and welded.

I PURCHASED, WITH FREE SHIPPING, A BORLA EXHAUST FOR MY 04 JEEP WRANGLER. I DIDNT EXPECT TOO MUCH OF A DIFFERENCE IN THE PERFORMANCE OF MY JEEP BUT, WOW, WAS I WRONG!!! I LOVE THE LOW RUMBLE WHEN I START HER UP AND I'M GETTING BETTER FUEL MILEAGE AND PERFORMANCE. I WOULD SAY THIS WAS A VERY SMART PURCHASE. BORLA EVEN PROVIDED A TURN DOWN CHROME TIP BECAUSE I HAVE A TRAILER HITCH. NICE GOING AUTOANYTHING FOR CARRYING A GREAT EXHAUST SYSTEM LIKE BORLA!

I purchased the Gibson 617301 side-swept cat-back exhaust in stainless steel, and had it installed last week. All I can say is WOW!! What a difference in the sound and performance of this Big Orange Box. In addition to that extra kick it gets now when combined with the Blackhawk cold-air intake I had installed previously, it sounds like a fairly bad mofo. At slow speeds and during idling, it sounds awesome. When I do hit it, it goes - they just never see that coming. Not bad for a rookie :)
