Catback for 99 Miata

Reviewed By Eric F (OSWEGO, NY) Reviewed for a 1999 Mazda Miata/MX-5 —5/15/2017 9:06 AM

Excellent performing exhaust once installed. This is the 2nd Miata Borla I have installed and experienced the same fitment issued both installations. The stainless pipe inside the mating plate to the existing Miata pipe is not ground down enough. The existing Miata pipe extends about 1/8" beyond the mating face, and this must fit inside the Borla plate. For a good airtight connection the inside of the Borla needs to be ground down to allow the Miata connection. Not terribly difficult.

Overall a nice tip

Reviewed By Bryan V (Rockford, MN) Reviewed for a 2001 Mazda Millenia —7/7/2009 8:59 AM

Made of stainless- you cant beat that. Installation is with a hose clamp, but I just brought it to a local shop and they welded it on for $25. Good way to top off your exhaust, either factory or aftermarket. Thinking of drilling a condensate drain hole on the bottom end, as the tip was not designed with one in mind.

The Borla tip fit perfectly and adds a sporty look to the factory exhaust.
