2000 Mazda B3000

Reviewed By otto w (Boise, ID) Reviewed for a 2000 Mazda B-Series —4/29/2011 8:22 PM

Installed on my Mazda B3000. Instal took longer than I was originally thinking it would but it went fairly smooth. Had to cut the old muffler twice to remove it. The instructions say to cut your current pipe as close to the muffler as possible. This is something to not overlook, I cut mine right where it is welded to the muffler and I am glad I did. Had to cut the last part so it didn't stick out of the back of my truck. Used Zip ties to line it up in place prior to bolting it all in place. *Hangers have to be bent.* Performance and sound: Feels like there is more power, but as the last one died (think something crawled up in it) that isn't much of a surprise. The tone is a little deeper and the volume is a little louder. Happy with the sound and performance. Would I do it again, Yes. What would I do differently? I would have painted it with high temp BBQ paint after I aligned it and before I bolted it all together. *Hides the exhaust and pipes, looks much better. Face it, the exhaust is going to get dirty, rusty and the color will change because of the heat. Might as well blend and hide it before it looks bad.
