Fit Well Without Cutting or Welding

Reviewed By Richard C (Incline Village, NV) Reviewed for a 1994 Mazda MX-6 —4/6/2011 9:41 PM

The good news is that the CAT fit without any modification. I had read other reviews before ordering, so I thought I had all I needed when I bought flange gaskets for it from the dealer. However. the original OEM CAT had bolts threaded into the flanges for it, so I had to beat feet to a lumber yard and get some bolts, lock washers and nuts. They aren't hear-treated, so hopefully they'll last as long as the converter. My HC at 25 mph went down significantly after the installation; however, the HC at 15 mph went down enough to pass but not as much as I expected. I can't detect much difference in power output with the new CAT, but at least the car is legal again in California.

My repair shop could only find an OEM catalytic converter for $1200. The car isn't worth that much!. Yours at around $200 worked out very well#
