06 wrx subaru muffler welded hangers

Reviewed By Eric S (Wake Forest, NC) Reviewed for a 2006 Subaru Impreza —4/6/2012 6:00 PM

It sounds great, performance is increased, I wanted something different from the "coffee can" exhaust. The only thing I do not understand is the reason for the welded hangers holding the muffler from the bottom. To me looking at the stainless tips and muffler from the back is very pleasing, but the hangers welded from the bottom end of it takes the looks away. Kind of looks cheap in a way after what I paid. I am sorry I did not notice the pictures of the system before I brought it. The stock exhaust system did not show the welded hangers, they came from the top down. Is this a production screw up ?

PaceSetter Direct-Fit Catalytic Converters - 49 State Legal Reviews

Good fit (not great)...lets see how durable over time...

Reviewed By jason e (Wharton, NJ) Reviewed for a 2008 Subaru Impreza —10/7/2015 10:29 AM

direct fit converter fit good. my only complaint is the front O2 sensor isn't angled out enough towards the front resulting in a very tight fit with very little clearance to the timing belt cover. also the O2 bungs for the front O2 sensor for early and late model fitment are welded to close together resulted in trimming the heat sheild for the O2 sensor to be able to screw in to the exhaust. The only thing left is to see is how durable the SS pipes & welds hold up.
