PaceSetter Direct-Fit Catalytic Converters - 49 State Legal Reviews

Good fit (not great)...lets see how durable over time...

Reviewed By jason e (Wharton, NJ) Reviewed for a 2008 Subaru Impreza —10/7/2015 10:29 AM

direct fit converter fit good. my only complaint is the front O2 sensor isn't angled out enough towards the front resulting in a very tight fit with very little clearance to the timing belt cover. also the O2 bungs for the front O2 sensor for early and late model fitment are welded to close together resulted in trimming the heat sheild for the O2 sensor to be able to screw in to the exhaust. The only thing left is to see is how durable the SS pipes & welds hold up.

Magnaflow Exhaust Systems Reviews

great sound easy install

Reviewed By brian c (bellefonte, PA) Reviewed for a 2008 Subaru Impreza —3/17/2011 4:30 AM

i put a magnaflow exhaust on my 08 imprezza 2.5i sedan.(part was listed for WRX sedan) all i have to say i very imprezzive. the deep tone was way greater than expected and now has a sporty growl. i could feel the difference in performance right away. and now after a few tanks of gas the computer has fully adjusted to the change. i also noticed a slight increase in mpg. of course thats only if i keep my foot off the floor. its hard now that the car sounds so good. installation was very quick and the new piping and hangers went along with the stock locations. a bit of advise though....... buy new bolts for the connection to the converter before you start (mine broke right off) and you will also need a new donut gasket for the same location.

Borla Exhaust Systems Reviews

Borla for 2012 Impreza Sport Prmium

Reviewed By Gordon L (Columbus, OH) Reviewed for a 2012 Subaru Impreza —1/23/2015 6:23 AM

It took about an hour to remove the OEM muffler and install Borla. Very easy to do since the bolts were not that rusty. After installation, I realise that there is more room in the muffler slot. Borla's SS muffler is much smaller than OEM one. The extra elbow room actually helped me when I replaced the OEM 16mm rear sway bar with a STI 19mm one a week later. The exhaust notes from the Borla are louder but not too loud that would wake up the neighbors. Ilike that. I will definitely recommend it.
