Check out this recent Toyota Tundra Flowmaster Exhaust Systems customer review: James F from Mullica Hill, NJ says "I chose the Flowmaster American Thunder for two reasons. Number one: The sound. I have always preferred the Flowmaster sound over other brands. This system uses the 50 series HD muffler which is hardly noticable while cruising, but jump on it and my mind travels back to the muscle car era. Number two: This system is advertised as all stainless steel. I wanted my exhaust system to last as long as my truck, or at least as long as I own my truck. I have to say that I was disappointed when I opened the box and saw that the muffler and pipes were not the traditional stainless steel that I was expecting. I was supicious that Flowmaster had sent me a system that was not stainless. I even stuck a magnet to each piece and was further convinced that this system was not stainless steel. I called AutoAnything and they in turn contacted Flowmaster to confirm whether or not this system was all stainless steel. AutoAnything notified me within a couple hours and explained that the 409S stainless is in deed stainless steel but is not shiny like the 300 series stainless. Only the tips are shiny. I then googled 409S and quickly learned that 409S is a stainless steel used primarily in the automotive exhaust industry where appearance is not an issue but corrosion resistance is. At that point, I felt much better about my purchase. Everything in the kit is high quality and fit my truck perfectly. The only problem I had was sliding the tail pipes into the muffler outlets. The tail pipes were slightly out of round from shipping and handling, so I had to reshape them a bit before they would slide in. This was not easy lying on a creeper under my truck. Hindsight, I should have made sure everything went together easily before I actually installed the system. I used a little WD40 on the rubber hangers as I had seen on a you tube video. I'm glad I did because the hangers slide in hard. I used two identicle pairs of ramps which put my truck at just the right height for using a creeper.
