"My two pieces of advice, get better gaskets, and it will take a lot longer to install than you expect. These were recommended to me as the "ones to get"... I opted for the titanium ceramic finish and was impressed when I removed them from the box. They are really nice looking well built headers. I opted to take the truck to my local shop to have them installed, and regardless what JBA says, the shop didn't take the 5 hours stated to replace them. it took close to the Toyota allocation chart's recommended 14 hours to get the old ones off and the new headers on. Once installed, they sounded great. That is until I hit the highway. once I got the RPMs up the fuzzy gaskets they provided blew out within minutes. and I soon had leaks all over the place. The mechanic didn't like the supplied gaskets from the get go, but installed them anyway, they didn't last 20 miles, when he called JBA they were like, "yep, we'll send you a new set today". no questions asked, just mailed them out. like they know the gaskets are a problem. My advice, and after having to spend another $200 bucks to get the gaskets replaced, get yourself a set of graphite gaskets and throw the JBA supplied ones in the trash." —Marc G from Spokane, WA bought a JBA Cat4ward Headers for a 2004 Toyota Tundra.
"The quality of the headers is excellent. I do not know how
hard the installation was, as I had a local exhaust shop do
the install. The disappointing part was that I has to wait over two months for the headers." —Robert H from Honolulu, HI bought a Doug Thorley Headers for a 2004 Toyota Tundra, 4.7L V8.
