2008 Volkswagen Jetta SE 2.5L

I ordered this part for my Jetta to reduce stress on my engine. It was relatively easy to install (if you have access to a lift). The horsepower gains were immediately felt and the sound was incredible for the first few days. Then, it got annoying. The exhaust has a nice deep hum to it which hits a certain note that drowns out any music you are playing. All in all I enjoy the exhaust because it does give my car better performance

Aotstanding Deal!

Reviewed By Fred P (Wethersfield, CT) Reviewed for a 1999 Volkswagen Jetta —5/26/2012 8:36 AM

Trying to pass CT. State Emissions, which is one of the finest scams this country has ever come up with. After spending $300 for a "Tune Up" and still not passing, I found out from VW expert that the so called "Tune Up" I paid for was nothing more but new spark plugs (and the wrong plugs at that, for a VR6, not a 4 cyl.) Finally had to do a new enition coil, wires, plugs, the Catalytic Conv. still read fault and would not pass. The dealer and Napa, Autozone gave me prices of $350 to $675! Without labor. Found the Magnaflow on Ebay from AutoAnything for $110 incl. shipping!!! Couldn't beleive it. Got it, paid $120 to have it put in and PASSED yesterday. Also, the guys at AutoAnything were incredibley responsive to all my question and I will buy from them again.

VW TDI Fit

Clearance over the suspension supports is limited and the rear piece barely clears. It would seem the location could of been better centered with some different bend angles. One tip when installing the first primary pipe - attach both rubber hangers (near the front) and tighten the stock clamp before attaching the rubber hanger near the rear wheel. The single hanger will want to twist the pipe and not allow for any clearance over the suspension support. All pipe hangers should be level or parallel to the ground. This exhaust will be barely noticeable in increased sound level with the Turbo Diesel.
