The American Thunder Classic Axle Back Kit produces good sound quality. I have these on a convertible. They do drone some and it seems to be worse with an automatic transmission. I am pleased with the kit. I have these on a Mustang Coupe as well and the drone is not as bad and it is a 5-speed. If I had to do it over I would probably buy the cat-back kit. But, I would stick with Flowmaster because it sounds American.

Right out of the box the fit was perfect! flip the rear exhaust isolator and done! I`ve used AFE before and anticipated the type of sound. he 2.5 is just a bit quieter than the larger 3" system but still has that fantastic growl at idle and noticeable rumble when driving. The system has a very pleasing deep tone!
The Gibson Review

Now that I have been able to have the "Gibson Experience" for a few hundred miles, it has been very nice overall. I can hear how cylinder deactivation works as well as the six speed transmission. Perhaps a bit more resonance than I bargained for but still a nice experience. It does attract looks and get nice compliments. I believe I'm getting a bit of better mileage to top it all.
