Purchased these JBA's in stainless steel to further improve the performance of my (work in progress) Titan. So far, they sound great with a noticable difference in horse power. However, I also have a cold air intake kit and a very low resistence muffler (two items that should be staples in any automotive project), so I'm sure they also contribute to the truck's performance. All in all, great headers, solid design, and easy to fix if any damage occurs since they are stainless steel in construction. Recommended for anyone looking to turn their truck into a roaring tank.*On a side note, these headers need to be welded to the cats in order to fully remain CA legal, but any experienced exhaust worker can do this.*

The installation on my 2003 Avalanche was mostly trouble-free, although one or two minor issues came up (as they always do). A drip pan / heat shield for the air conditioning system had to be moved and I had to use a small pry par to re-locate the exhaust down pipe on the passenger side to facilitate the instalation. The headers appear to be of good quality and definitely add to the exhaust "rumble" compared to the stock manifolds. They do require a set maintenance schedule, (provided by Gibson on the instructions) to ensure the header bolts remain torqued properly.Overall a good product - not much HP or MPG improvement, but at least my truck sounds like a truck.

great product at a great price. insallation was a pain. taking the old headers off took forever, but install of the new headers and cats was much easier. overall install time was around 6 hours. headers are much louder and you can feel the power. revs much quicker. im also installing the Flowmaster American Thunder muffler kit from this site.

If it wont kill you to dish out the money i would recommend these headers. I gained a consistent 2 mpg better, accelleration seemed to be smoothed out, definatly winds through the rpms quicker now, didnt lug at lower rpms like it used too. Didnt make exhaust very much louder at all that i noticed as i already had a custom cat back exhaust...just changed the exhaust note, a little more aggressive...seems that you can hear individual cylinders firing....i feel more low end torque for sure......I LOVE THESE HEADERS!!

I just recently purchased and install Banks Ram Air, Banks Monster Exhaust and Banks Torque Tubes for my 2008 5.3l Chevy Silverado, it is like I have a new truck. Throttle response is better, towing is better, gas mileage is better (if you are not getting on it!) I used to average about 18.5 mpg on my trip down the Jersey shore. The last trip I got 20.7 mpg. And of course if it is more fun to drive now too. I would definitely recommend this purchase.
