Gibson Exhaust Reviews

I installed the Gibson Dual Sport exhaust on my 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 Quab cab 4x4 with very little effort.The old exhaust came off easy, and the new exhaust installed very quickly with the directions in the box and the fact that you make use of factory hangers on newer models. The exhaust has an excellent tone, and resonation in the cab is minimal. I cant say that I notice a great deal of performance increase, but it seems to handle hills, with my 33 foot camper trailer, better than before the install. I recommend it to anyone that is looking for a bit of power increase and a smooth tone when you step down on the throttle. Overall the purchase and product was top quality. Performance showed and immediate increase in torque and horse power. The sound is quite pleasing w/ existing Flowmaster exhaust. With the tuned headers, the cylinder beats are more separate. It's too early to judge efficiency (gas MPG), but that depends, I'm sure, on how it is driven.Removing the OE manifold was easy, but bolting on the new headers was made difficult only because bolt access was severly limited. Fit was very nearly perfect. It bolted right in except for previously mentioned limited bolt access. If I had to do it over, I would.

tip looks great... my only problem was it didnt fit that easily... needed to get a rubber mallet to fit it over my pipe... and i think it melted the plastic on my rear bumper.... but eh it still looks good to me... great buy... shipping was ok... not as fast as my other orders that i have had with autoanything.. but believe autoanything is the way to go .... i got this to compliment my flowmaster 50 series that i ordered from autoanything.. that got here in 3 days... definely 10+ for AA :)

Have not installed it yet because it requires the existing tail pipe to be cut back about 3-4". A dry fit check showed the inlet side of the Gibson Tip is not exactly round (i.e. it is ovaled), so there will probably be a little “persuasion” required to get it to slip over the existing exhaust tail pipe. The Gibson part is beautifully polished and should look (and work) great once installed.I would have given it 5* if the part slipped right on the first time.

I ordered this for my 05 F150.Very nice, but did not care for being able to see the tightening bolt from the rear of the truck. Just turned it so you could not see it, but then lost that fine Gibson name that I think adds to the look. Other than that, a great buy and dresses up the OEM exhaust pipe.
