Magnaflow 12579

Reviewed By Jeff T (Des Moines, IA) Reviewed for a 1999 Dodge Dakota —6/20/2017 3:20 AM

The 12579 is a large case single inlet, single outlet muffler. Internally the exhaust is split running the length of the case rejoining before exiting. The muffler has a nice quiet rumble at idle with no drone at speed. It has a nice performance sound when the throttle blades are opened wide. Install consists of headers, 2 1/4" to 3" Y-pipe, 3" through remainder.

If you're looking for loud and with rumble.. look elsewhere.

Reviewed By Jeremy K (DENVER, CO) Reviewed for a 2013 Toyota Tundra —5/24/2017 8:55 PM

There was not a lot of reviews and videos on the super 50. I was looking to subtle rumble, with no/little drone. Pros: great build quality little to no drone price Cons: weld in, so a little more complex than a cat back exhaust system too quiet While it is louder than stock oem exhaust, it's still way to quiet (for me). This muffler is how trucks should come stock. If you're looking for something slightly louder/rumble than stock, this is it.
