Magnaflow OEM Grade Catalytic Converter
Working great. Looks very nice and of good build quality. Had a local muffler shop put the direct fit Magnaflow catalytic converter and the magnaflow exhaust system on my wife's 2004 Toyota Corolla S. It was not supposed to require any welding, but it was just a shy to short where the catalytic converter and exhaust pipe met up, causing a small leak. Welding fixed it.
2004 Toyota Corolla Catalytic Converter Replacement 182k miles
Got a $805.00 dollars estimate to replace my CC with an OEM replacement part. After reviewing it online decide to replace it myself. Bought an OEM replacement from this site for $335 and did the job in less than 3 hours and this was my first time replacing a CC. Had to wrestle the front connection to the manifold exhaust but overall it fit like a glove. Disconnected the negative cable from the battery to clear my check engine light and put over 120 miles on it already.
Aside from the fact that the pipe on the engine end did not fit properly and I had to get the old one cut off and welded on to the new one to make it work, and the gasket was way too big and the holes on the falange at the rear end (into the muffler) were so big that I had to add a washer to get it to fit, it worked pretty well...
