TFP Fender Trim

Not the best that I've seen

"As soon as I opened the packeage, I noticed that the black trim around the fender trim was misshaped. IE: I had to heat the black rubber up to reshape it around the fender trim. The mounting brackets for the rear fenderwells did not fasten to the car. I had to add a metal shim to fill the gap where the short screws tightened against the inside of the rear fender. On a good side, They do look great!"

Fender trim Chevy Avalanche

"The trim is made from stainless steel as are the mounting screws. Mounting the trim required a power drill and bits. Three of the trim pieces were a straight forward mounting. The fourth needed a spacer between two screws and the fender in order get flush finish against the the body without bending the trim piece."

tough to install

"The stainless has a yellow tint to it and is not as bright as factory trim. The kit is very difficult to install and is not shade tree mechanic friendly."

Quality Trim and Easier to Mount Than Expected...

"I ordered this trim expecting the "near" fit syndrome. You know, the part where you're forced to try to bend or contourt the molding to fit just like the OEM product? Well none of that was neessary. This trim fit my Tundra perfectly. As for securing the trim to the vehicle, it indicates you can either drill and screw the molding on, or you can use the clips provided. My conclusion is if you want the tighest fit, use both methods."

slick as a whistle

"The trim arrived in 4 days. The next morning it was on the truck. Mine is a '07 new body style Silverado and the trim fit perfectly. I used the drill/screw mounting style on all but two of the holes because I would have had to remove the back tires to drill. On those two I used the clips. The trim adds real class to my all-black truck. (I also added Putco mirror covers and door handle covers for real pop.) Gene in Missouri"

"Just installed the TFP fender trim. It looks great! The install was pretty easy, I ended up using the "no drill" clips for holding the trim in place while I drilled and fastened the trim with screws."

"They say in the ad that it is easy to put on.. Well! That is not so true. But with self drilling, and self tapping screws (bought at your friendly hardware store) it is really easy to do. I put them on in just less than an hour. Start at one end after making sure you have the product in it's proper place. Someone said that the product is not sturdy. Well, what does the blonde at the bar have do? Just sit there and look pretty?... These just just sit there and look VERY PRETTY. Thanks again AutoAnything.."

"Great fender trim. Took 10 minutes to read instructions and install (Clip on Method). Only set back is the Screw method is not aligned with manufacture holes. Other then, was highly satisfied with the product. Gives you 3 methods to install."
