Specifically, 1) the mats are made of plastic of a weight that is substantial, i.e. not flimsy. 2) They lay flat and so far (about 1 week after installing) show absolutely no signs of curling or getting pushed out of place 3) They look very tidy and are easy to clean. Four out of five stars because they could be a little more transparent, however the carpet color still comes through and this is minor. I'd rather have the heavier material and sacrifice some transparency, so this is okay as a trade-off. Overall a good quality product. I let them lay on a wood floor for 2 days to air out and flatten out after shipping, and had absolutely no problem with odor."
