"The fit and quality of the mats were great, especially for the price, but they do have an offensive smell. I purchased these for a gift for my daughter, and I washed them, then let them air out in the sun, which helped but did not completely eliminate the smell. I am hoping with time that the order goes away.."

"These mats are great, only problem was they have a pretty strong smell coming out of the box. Didn't get rid of the smell for a couple of weeks. Probably would have helped to air out them out a bit."

"This mat has an excellent fit. It is heavy and lies flat in the trunk without moving. Yes, like previous reviewers said, it smells terrible. I could smell it right through the box on delivery. I let it air out outside for over a week and the smell is slowly dissipating. Otherwise, it's a good product."

"At first they didn't appear to be the correct ones, the passenger one I thought was wrong and I was going to phone about the problem. However, after looking carefully at the right mats top right side, I realized the cars floor was not flat & that was why the mat was cut this way."

"The mats are pretty good looking and definitely aren't going to be subject to much wear and should hold up well however they smell like a skunk. I've had them for a week now and they still smell up the car. Someone got in the car the other day and said "Do you smoke weed in here?" (I have never used marijuana by the way). Overall an above average product but overpriced and the smell is really bothersome."

"I have only had these floor mats less than a month and one of the round circles came out in a part of the mat that does not see any foot traffic. The driver side mat does not seem to cover as much floor space as compared to the passenger side or rear mats. It's summer here so I can not rate on how they are in bad weather. I do not have any experience with other mats to make a comparison judgement. These mats seem to be o.k. except for the driver side mat. Anthony, Euclid, Ohio."

"Looks good and gets the job done. My only beef with the mats is that they tend to slip and slide forward. The nubby things on the bottom don't really hold the mats in place very well."

"I installed these in my 2005 4Runner. I read on the 4Runner site that these were smelly. When I got them, they smelled like a skunk was in the box. Anyhow, I left them outside in the sun for a week and washed both sides once a day. Someone else did the same on the 4Runner forum. They fit nice, and look nice. For the back seat section I purchased the 1 piece and it doesn't hug the tunnel quite as tight as I would prefer, but overall I am happy."
