Mats fit very well, except for the driver side mat. It could be about three inches longer on the forward end. Also, they are a little slippery when wet. Otherwise, they are very good. Contains dirt, water, and other debris, and that is the main purpose.

I have had these mats in the past (for my 2001 Escape) and I love them. The mats for the 2008 Escape actually fit better in almost every way, the driver's mat even fits perfectly onto the floor hook. I just have one major concern -- the driver's side mat ends right at the point where the floorboard starts to slope up in the front. That means that most of the area under the accelerator is not covered. While I'm careful to kick as much snow off my boots as possible before swinging my feet into the car, I'm very concerned that any remaining snow will drip off my boots onto the carpeting, and that moisture will spread to the area under the mat where it cannot evaporate. Until we get some snow that sticks, I won't know if that is the case or not. If it is, I'm going to have to duct tape some kind of plastic to the front of the mat. Won't that be pretty!
