No Grommet Holes

Reviewed By Jack B (Duluth, GA) Reviewed for a 1996 Audi A4 —4/26/2012 3:04 AM

The pictures for the mats showed grommet holes and my Audi provides studs that pass through the grommets to secure the mats in place. Instead of gromments, my mats came with thin plastic straps that are riveted to the mats on one end to the back side of a mat. Each free end of a strap has a hole with numerous relief cuts to allow it to slide over the Audi stud button heads. The straps are completely unterneath the mats so the mats tilt upward over the Audi studs and do not lay flat in those areas. I fear the plastic straps will break in the not too distant future. The lack of gromment holes and the use of the straps are my only disappointments. I recommend you take the grommet holes out of your online representation if you are not going to provide the grommet holes on mats for cars that support that feature.

Beautiful plush mats

Reviewed By Lee L (Newton, MA) Reviewed for a 2001 Audi A4 —12/12/2007 8:35 PM

I bought these mats on a friend's recommendation for my son's '97 A6. The OEM mats were worn and stained. These mats are awesome. I was surprised at both the weight of the mats (nice and sturdy) and the plushness. I want to drive barefoot so that I can enjoy the feeling of the mats on my feet!

Not like the classic mats you remember

Reviewed By Richard M (Long Beach, CA) Reviewed for a 1973 Fiat 850 —5/12/2015 10:49 PM

These are not like the classic coco mats you'll remember from the 60's and 70's. The originals didn't have the plastic heel pad and were sewn around the edges with coconut. They were coco all the way through. These have a plastic backing like most mats today. I guess these are upgrades but there's something not quite classic about these mats. Well see if they grow on me.
