WeatherTech All-Weather Floor Mats Reviews

Very Pleased with One Caveat

Reviewed By Crystal G (Bothell, WA) Reviewed for a 2005 Scion xB —2/27/2017 10:06 PM

I purchased the Weathertech floor mats for my 2005 Scion xB. I needed new mats, and really wanted the Weathertech ones that I didn't have to trim to fit. I didn't have to trim the front at all (they were fit to specific vehicle), but the rear are a trim to fit. Not a huge deal, but I would've preferred to have known in advance that the rear were a trim to fit.

These rubber mats fit like a glove. Only issue I found was like many on this site. The mats have this rubber stink that doesn't go away right away. I've aired them out for 7 days from when I got them. Wanted to put them in the car right away but the strong pungent rubber smell stunk up the interior. Wished the manufacturer had some recommendations how to remove the smell. I've soaked them in soap, pressure washed them using self car wash wands, aired them out again for another 3 days. Used armorall, febreezed them. Still has that rubber odor. Overall tho, despite the stink which I'm hoping goes away, I'm satisfied with the fitment and the retaining clips they come with. 4 stars in my book.
