Nothing is further from the sights, the sounds, the smells and the thrills of the racetrack than being stuck at the office pulling TPS reports for your overbearing boss. But when you buckle up in the Intro-Tech Automotive PitStop Grand Prix Series Chair, the office fades into your rearview with the rest of the racing grid.
Intro-Tech Automotive Grand Prix Chair is inspired by the fastest racecars on the world circuit. The faux-leather lined racing bucket looks like Jackie Stewart just unstrapped and went to kiss the trophy girl. The billet aluminum shifter knob looks like it was borrowed from a Lotus. The coil-over shock and racing rotor & caliper seat base resemble the underpinnings of an Italian exotic. And, the armrests feature a tire tread pattern that could have just rolled out of the Dunlop factory.
Designed and built in the USA, the Intro-Tech Automotive PitStop Grand Prix Series Chair is closer to a Corvette than any chair made overseas. And, it’s not a bunch of show without the go, this chair is built with the highest quality materials, just like the speed machines it emulates. And, Intro-Tech backs it with a Lifetime Warranty.

I got this as a gift for my husband for Christmas. He put it together and placed it by the tree until Christmas day. We race cars and have several national championships, so this was perfect for him. Our friends (mostly other racers) visited us for the holidays....the chair was a BIG HIT! Everyone wanted one for themselves!

The PitStop Desk (I call it my "High-Speed Racing Desk") is the envy of my gearhead friends and is a very functional desk as well. It is roomy, srurdy, and the wheels make it easy to move for cleaning. Add a desktop light to create a red glow beneath it at night, which adds to it visual appeal. I had a couple of minor issues during assembly. I had to drill out one end of the "spring" before the bolt would pass through and bend one part slightly. But it was relatively quick to put together.

Our new desk chairs(red) are the hit of our new office total remodel. We own and operate a high end specialized automotive service center. We just completed a major and total redo of our office and combined customer area. We installed all new state of the art office furniture, carpeting, windows, lighting and of course customer comforts, big flat screen tv, espresso machine, pop corn poers, bistro tables and stools. After spending nearly 20 grand for this complete office upgrade, the only thing anyone wants to talk about are those stinkin' office chairs we purchased from you, go figure. We have your calatolg up in the wating area so our car guy customers can see your entire line. I'm guessing you will be selling some more pieces because of this exposure. Like they say it don't make no difference how they spell your name as long as they talk about you, these chairs are creating a lot of conversation.

This chair and desk is perfect for any person who loves cars. The cahir is well made as is the desk. Aesthetically, the set looks great and is comfortable. Assembly took a little time, but it looks great. We were missing the assembly instructions for the desk, and a piece of the desk tray was bent, but a call to AutoAnything quickly handled any issues (thank you, AutoAnything!).

The chair is great looking, though not as comfortable as I would prefer. The mat was also attractive, however, completely nonfunctional. The chair will not roll on the mat. I have put the mat back in the shipping box, and have not decided what to do with it.

Hi, Can the Grand Prix Chair (PitStop Furniture) be adjusted to lean backwards/forwards, as well as the up/down adjustment? Thanks.
Answered by Jordan C. — Nov 02, 2010 4:10 PM
Hey Harry, I just copped a squat in a Grand Prix chair over here at the office and tried to adjust the backwards/forwards lean with mixed results. The chair does not have a traditional back/forward adjustment that you'd find on most office chairs. However, you can adjust the back of the chair so that it leans backwards and forwards like a car seat. The seat cushion, though, doesn't tilt.
