Most transmission temp gauges start there reading at 140F. AutoMeters' gauge starts its' reading at 100F, which is much better for general use. The gauge is great looking and easy to read.

How similar are the autometer Z-series and the autometer street rod designer black I?

Hello. The Street Rod Gauges have chrome or polished rims, whereas the Z-Series have a black rim. The font on the face of the gauges is also slightly different. Thank you for your question.
