I bought this item to mount a couple of gauges outside on the cowl grille on my S10. I needed something that was adaptable since I wasn't sure how I would end up mounting it.Other reviewers have said this is plastic. It's not. The base is a solid piece of steel and the screws attach the clamp securely to the base, holding it in the desired position without much chance of slipping. It has a fairly wide range of swivel around the screw, so as to obtain the desired angle of viewing.

I used this mount for putting an oil pressure gauge on my 2006 Harley night train. with the addition of a homemade bracket I was able to mount it on the right side of the rear cylinder head and it fits perfect. really nice product and that's it and finish it is really nice.

I used the panel for an O2 gauge on my Yamaha FZ1. It worked great with a slight bend so it wasn't a perfect 90 degrees. It bent quite easily and evenly. I'm a happy camper.
