"Product was well packaged althought it did have some minor scuffs in the paint and nicks in the plastic. Overall it was fairly easy to install with a third hand to help. Instructions could be a little better. The mounting brackets looked like something that was made in a high school shop class however everthing lined up just fine."

Good Mounting Method-Poor Quality

"I have usually purchased the Mannik Brush Guards. I have always found them to be of good quality. So I did not hesitate to order a new Mannik Brush guard for my new 2006 Nissan Frontier. When it arrived, I went to install the new guard. I found that the mounting system for the new Mannik guard was horrible. (I mean really horrible!) They went with a poor upper mounting bracket method on my particular application. (Actually drilled holes into the pipe and rivited bushing into the pipe instead of welding on a nut. Easy to spin inside of the pipe.) So I returned the Brush Guard and ordered an Waag replacement. When the Waag Brush Guard came in,...I immediatly noticed how much lighter the Brush Guard was compaired to the Mannik. Also the welding beads were horrible. There was splatter all over the guard. Of course they had been black powder coated over. But were plainly visible with the naked eye. The mounting system of the new Waag guard was very difficult to understand with the poor directions provided. I made a quick call to Waag and they quickly explained the upper mounting and I was in business. The mounting was more difficult than the previous mentioned Mannik. However I prefer the mounting to the frame rails with both the upper and lower mounting brackets. So I keep the Waag guard. But the materials of the Waag guard was of much lighter material than the Mannik. The plate that you mount your lights on is much thinner and much narrower. (I could bend it with my bare hands.) All in all, I would call the Waag grill a light duty brush guard with very poor finish. If I was going to purchase again,...I would look for another brand."

"I have order the front and rear WAAG Grille Guard.It arrived within two weeks, I install with my wife. I fellow through the menu. I put it up in about four hours.It because the front bumper need to take off in order for the guard to attach to the front beam.But is easy.It look great and it is very stronge,is a smart buy."

"On my truck we had to tweak it and I did end up put a scratch that dug in deep to below the grill. It took about 3 to 4 hours to install it correctly and some advice from a mechanic. It is nice looking after it was all said and done."

"I took the plunge and installed the grill guard myself. I had an old socket set in the garage and hoped that I had the right stuff --- with a couple of sockets and a wrench and about 2 hours later my new guard was installed, very stable and looked hot! Now my 2005 Pathfinder is the best looking SUV in town and I love the visual enhancements of the grill guard --looks tuff."
