With the Big Tex Grille Guard bolted onto your front-end, the world will know not to mess with your rig. That's because this brawny grille guard is bursting at the seams with features to shield the face of your truck or SUV from bumps, rubs and scrapes.
Even Pecos Bill is awed by the quality of materials that Go Industries uses when crafting their Big Tex Grille Guard: premium 1.9", 14 gauge steel tubing for the frame, and die-formed uprights wrought from 11 gauge steel. Plus, the heavy outside welds and gargantuan size means your Big Tex won't bend, flex or vibrate.
Your Big Tex Grille Guard is custom tailored for your year, make and model, and is designed to accentuate your vehicle's factory lines. Plus, this mammoth grille guard bolts right into pre-drilled frame holes.
Most Big Tex Grille Guards have a brilliant nickel-chrome plating, which comes with a 3-year warranty. Black powder coating is available for certain rigs, and also has a 3-year warranty.
Our 20+ Go Industries Big Tex Grille Guard customer reviews have an average rating of 4.50 out of 5 stars. To see specific reviews about your vehicle, please select your year, make and model from the drop down above.

One person can perform 95% of the installation. My wife used her little hands to hold the nuts while I tightened the vertical support brackets (I decided to put the nuts on the inside, for better looks) . If Stainless Steel Bolts,Nuts,Washers & Lock Washers were provided, the finished product would have been Perfect! Looks GREAT had many compliments. (I plan on replacing fasteners with SS.)

Very fast shipping, well packed, no missing parts! Easy install. Came with the license plate re-position bracket for the Eco. Hardest was removing the original tow hooks first. When attaching the grill to the two upright's those 8 bolts need small hands as the wife had to help with those. What heavy duty mounting brackets and grill. Lots of chrome and protection, very pleased. Also $200 less than comparable 2" guards. Rusty

Didn't exactly fit my 2001 GMC 3500, but with a little work on the brackets it worked fine. The direction were a bit vague, but if you can improvise it isn't too bad. Overall is a very sturdy and good looking grille guard.

Very pleased with the grill. Many compliments. It installed very easily besides the fact that the directions led you to believe the brackets go on the outside of the grill supports and the tow hooks might need to be repositioned to fit it the bumper. My son and I took less than an hour to install it and I love it. Very recommended.

I have tried many in the past, This Grille Guard is the the best by far. I have a good size fleet in a rural area of the midwest, so we have many deere runing around. these grille guards have prevented tons of body damage, disability to vehicle, or down time. I have just ordered 4 more for my fleet.

Hello. The Big Tex for the 2005 and the 2006 are going to be different part numbers and will not be able to go back and forth for installation.

is this beefy enough to protect my truck from a mule deer that decides to stroll into the road.
Answered by Nathan S. — Jul 17, 2012 2:36 PM
The Big Tex will do a great job of protecting your truck and I have heard customers' stories of leaving the road and only sustaining damage to the Big Tex. I still wouldn't recommend letting a deer hit your truck. The damage can be tremendous and will vary quite a bit depending on both the speed of your truck and the deer. Also keep in mind, deer like to jump out of the way which could clear both the Big Tex and the hood. Its safer to reduce speed to give them a chance to get out of the way.
