Yup, it looks just like the pictures mounted. Everything fit together nicely and the parts were all there. The instructions could use some work and there is NO way to get the bracket secured to the frame without dropping the covers...other than that, it went together as expected and looks great! Now, let's see how it handles a white tail.

I am really impressed with the quality of the product. My only complaint was the instalation instructions. This was a first time installation of this type and the bumper cover mounts were a little more difficult to figure out.

Very nice grill guard. Look and fit are excellent and install took 1.5 hours for one person. Instructions, photos and label for primary support brackets are reversed. Driver side goes to passenger and vice versa. Other than that, very satisfied. Fits with factory bug deflector installed.

I read many reviews before buying this product. Easy of install was an issue in reviews. I have to say it took me 1/2 hour by myself with a reference to a Steelcraft Youtube video to install item to my Jeep. everything was perfect for my year Jeep and the quality of product is outstanding. Love it. shipped fast and arrived in perfect condition!!

I absolutely love my new brush guard. Installation was a little difficult when attaching under the hood. I didn't like having to remove my under hood and under truck weather guards as they wouldn't fit back on.

Two Questions: re 2013 GMC Sierra, 2500HD 1- is the Black eCoat made of stainless or just steel? 2- What modification(s) required for above vehicle? I would like to leave the tow hooks on the vehicle.

Hi Sherlock, The grills are made of T304 stainless steel but will mount in the tow hook location unfortunately.

Hi, The Steel Craft grill guard won't support a winch. For something stronger (and in black) check out RBPs offering: http://www.autoanything.com/bumpers/61A6677A0A0.aspx

The uprights on the bar itself, the part that the rubber bumper goes onto. Does the rubber wrap around a T-shaped steel upright or dies the rubber simply slide onto a non-T shaped upright and have to be glued in place? like this one? 1 1 |1| ||| or hopefully like this one: 1 ___1___ |11111| ~~~~~~~ where the "1"s represent the steel vertical uprights, and the other's represent the rubber bumper. Hope I explained it ok ;-) thanks!

I have a 2012 King Ranch ecoboost. The King Ranch isn't listed as a submodel but I'm under the impression that all the models are the same front end. My other question is I live in Tx and we have license plates in the front and the ecoboost plateholder is offset. Will this brushguard cover the plate?

Will this fit my 2012 expedition without modifications? Is this grill guard made of heavy guage steel as I do go off road, sometimes in heavy brush and I do not want something that is flimsey. I had a Westin Bull Bar on my 2011 Chev. Avalanche and it is very light weight and dented easly.
Answered by Nathan S. — May 25, 2012 9:06 AM 2012 Ford Expedition
It will fit your Expedition without modifications and will be more durable due to the T304 stainless steel construction.
