The description on the site said LD. I thought it was a typo and meant HD as none of the other grille guards available bothered to label the regular 1500 as such. The brackets didn't fit my 1500 HD and westin doesn't make them so I made my own. After about 4 hours (using tools that any purchaser of a grille guard should have anyways) and many tests fits, I had my grille guard mounted. My mounts use the original three points for the town hooks instead of two. Much stronger and fits like a glove!

All said and done, it looks good, but the "easy istallation" is not all that easy. In fact, it was quite difficult and took multiple calls into the service department. Get out the tools, all of them. Good luck.

The grill was a little tricky to pick which bolts to replace, but it went fine and fast. It looks and feels very solid. I am very pleased with it
