Overall I am very pleased with the Bull Bar. I found I needed to remove the grill to get my hands in to install the bar. The grill comes off pretty easy, 4 screws and 2 nuts. I don't know how you could install it without removing the grill. One caution, use thread lube on the stainless steel fasteners.

i purchased the westin ultimate bar because i loved the looks. installing this bar was the hard part but only took 30 min. after i figured the best install. the easily way is to take the front grille off the vehicle by taking out the 4 screws holding it in. after that everything was easy. to install the lower screws of the grille use chewing gum in your socket so you do not loose the screws. the bar sets the looks off on the escape. love it. i also purchased nerf bars for the sides that gives it a special set off. had so many compliments on the ultimate bar also got westin lights to install onn the bar i got the small retangular ones they look good. tom from pa.
