Westin Ultimate Bull Bar With Skid Plate

Reviewed By Charles H (CHANTILLY, VA) Reviewed for a 2006 Dodge Dakota —7/14/2014 10:14 AM

I am really happy with my Westin Ultiate Bull Bar and skid plates. The part was delivered just a few days after I placed the order and was not damaged or missing any pieces. The installation was fairly easy, although I ran into a minor problem with my front body mount bolts due to some rust under my truck that has accumulated over time. That being said, the instructions were clear and easy to follow and the part makes my truck look awesome! Very satisfied with this purchase! 100% recommended

Quality for $, install trouble, lights & tag may not both fit

Reviewed By Darren M (Thomson, GA) Reviewed for a 2006 Dodge Dakota —2/19/2014 10:47 AM

Stainless is nice and build is sturdy. Not enough space for both tag (with relocate bracket) and 5" fog lights. I ordered the 5" rather than 6" lights but they still overlap tag. Mount design good, no cutting or drilling, and should be simple, except 2 mounting bolts on my Dodge are body mount bolts with a round steel w/ rubber "isolator" nut. No way to put a socket on it, and pry bar and impact wrench did not budge it. Will have to cut off and buy replacement hardware.

06 Dakota

Reviewed By John S (Cincinnati, OH) Reviewed for a 2006 Dodge Dakota —5/26/2010 2:56 PM

I love the brush guard. The only problem I had was the installation of the 2 lower brackets that had to use the body mount bolts. Ended up using a big pair of channel locks with another pair to hold the upper body mount and a 18" breaker bar on the bolt. Also the threads were shot because of rust that ended up ordering new upper mounts and bolts for about 80 bucks. With that problem the out come was well worth it.
