The Aries Grille Guard for a 2004 Dodge Ram

Reviewed By James K D (SAINT LOUIS, MO) —11/17/2014 8:03 PM

I love the way it looks but when I went to open my hood there is about 1" of interference. I have to flex the hood backwards to get it to clear the grill to open or close it. I would have thought since it was designated specifically for that model this should not be an issue. I am going to see if I can loosen the bolts up and tilt it back or if there are spacer plates available to move it forward utilizing longer bolts.

Westin Sportsman on 2014 Tacoma

Very nice. Brackets are thick (top ones are 3/16", bottom are 1/4"). Good finish, fits the truck very well. Install instructions were ok, they missed listing some necessary tools (17mm and 19mm sockets) and a diagram has the upper brackets oriented backwards (use the photos as reference, not the diagram, for upper brackets). Overall I am very happy with it. It does NOT move at all when driving, it is SOLID. I torqued all bolts per directions.
