Ease your trailer hitching and gas mileage the economical way! Go Industries' Painted Air Flow V-Gate boasts the easy-access V design that makes hookup access much easier. And, the steel mesh center reduces costly drag for noticeable at-the-pump savings.
Go Industries' Painted V-Gate boasts solid construction that lasts. The tailgate perimeter uses tough 16-gauge steel, along with welded supports for the center steel mesh. The entire assembly mounts easily in place of your factory tailgate in minutes.
The Painted V-Gate offers finish choices, too. Pick a standard white painted finish, or grab a durable black powder-coated finish for extra corrosion resistance. Go Industries covers your Air Flow Painted V-Gate with a 3-year parts and workmanship warranty, plus a 6-month warranty on black powder coat finishes.

I love the tailgate EXCEPT the bottom connections leave a lot to be desired. It is just a round piece of steel that is way to large and lets the tailgat slop around! I have to close the tailgate and then lift the whole tailgate until I can find the latch on top. Sturdy tailgate but they need to redesign their pivot on the bottom, at least get it so it is close to fitting the pivot points on the truck.

Fit was fair with some problems with the notched side using the old bushing. No bushings were included. Also better off using old bolts for cable but you will have to find metric nuts. Finish was fair with some painted over weld platter, but otherwise looks pretty good.

The initial tail gate had appearence blems in 2 places. I emailed photos to customer service and and after several days they called and said a new tail gate was being shipped. The new one arrived in good condition. I did have to contact the factory about a different bushing for the drivers side pivot but they sent the correct one no charge. This is the 2nd vehicle that I have had a Go Industries tail gate on and I'm very happy with them. You can actually use them as a tail gate not like the plastic louverd ones that are on the market.

The packaging should of had heavy duty corner supports due to paint chipped off during shipping. Had to touch up. Used the original cable support bolts due to the larger neck size. Went in easily, opens and closes nicely.

2008 GMC Sierra
How much does it weigh? is it lighter than the original tailgate on my 2008 GMC sierra 1500?
