"I'm impressed with the quality, fit, and finish and AutoAnything's delivery was quick as usual. However, AMP Research really needs to get someone new to write their instructions. Great product but you need to be handy to figure out the assembly."

"Fit my GMC Canyon perfectly. Now groceries, etc. don't go flying all around inside the bed...that is really what I bought it for. I have no reason to use the "extender" function yet, but it is nice to know it has that capability. One hint...take your time to set up the templates and precisely mark and drill the screw holes. Accuracy with the bracket installation will pay off in excellent alignment. I made 2 copies of the templates and used those, one on each side. That allows the original template to remain with the instruction sheet, for future use if needed."

"Its a good product! Once you figure out how it goes,its a pretty easy installation. If you have a new body GMC Sierra truck than all you do is pull the tail lights out and use the template they give you drill 2 holes then assemble everything. Its a great product so far! And its Made in the USA!"

"I got the bed extender ordered and received it literally like a day or two later. It was real nice quality and packed well. It probably took about and hour to and hour and a half to install once you get it all set up and adjusted just right. Went riding my dirtbike this weekend and flipped it down threw all my gear in and worked great couldnt be happier."

"Excellent quality. Installation of the mounting brackets was a little confusing due to two templates in the installation sheet and not knowing which to use. I ended up measuring, drilling and leveling the Bed X-Tender on the truck to get the right dimension. For those with Dakota's it was the 8.00" template. Other than that a seamless install."

"I was intimidated when saw all the parts and the drilling required. But to my surprise the installation was very easy. It really looks good on my truck and recommed the product to anyone who needs a bed extender. Believe me, If I was able to install it anyone can."

"The amp bed extender was fairly easy to install, required minor modification to fit properly with a bed liner. Overall it is built pretty well, but I can't for the life of me figure out why it would be worth so much $$ for what it is - just a few aluminum tubes and plastic spacers. I know this is a limitation of my truck, but unfortunately I measure 7'6" now inside the bed, just a little short of the magic 8' needed to haul the average size lumber. Would be a great value at half the price, but other than that its a plus."

"These things are way overprices as a whole, but the price here was the best around. Shipping was extremely fast and I am very happy with the purchase. I would recommend this for anyone with a short bed or that has a wife that uses the truck to get groceries. Holds them in nice with a cover and tailgate up."

"Functional & clever. It works great once installed. Unfortunately, required an "extra" part for my 2002 Nissan Frontier. Would have been nice to know that when I ordered it. No time to wait for that by mail, so created my own from some angle iron. Installation took easily 2 hours as a result & directions are a little confusing, but hard to screw up. Once installed, it works great as extender and corral. Overall - thumbs up!"

"The bed E-Tender is everything Amp Research promised. The bent tubes are packaged in two sets of three and are arranged in the correct orienation for the install. Kudos for that foresight. Now my team's baseball equipment stays near the tailgate where I can access it easily. Do not use the X-Tender with an Access tonneau cover as the rails for the cover interfere with the flip action of the X-Tender. I recommend a tonneau that sets on top of the bedsides. Jon."

"The only difficulty I had with the installation was the fitting of the different pipes. One pipe's outer diameter was larger than the inner diameter of the curved pipe I was fitting it to. I was forced to "Hone" out the inner diameter of the two "female" ends to remove burrs and sand down the male ends, then use waterproof grease as a lubricant to get the pieces together. Other than that, it was easy to install and looks great."

"You can't beat the versatility this x-tender offers. It does a great job creating more usable bed space while also securing items very well. I found the assembly instructions to be a little vague, but I figured it out. It took me about two hours for complete assembly. I would definitely recommend this item for any truck owner."

"Great Addition to 04F150 Looks great was very easy to install A first grader could have done it. Its easy to take out and put back in when needed. It should of had allen screws instead of the 20 trox screws. Other than that it was a great buy, Iwould recomend it."

"The instructions were not clear concerning my 2006 Tundra. They seem to indicate that a bracket was needed which was included but it did not work with my truck. I was also disappointed that with the x-tender open the space was only 71/2 feet, still not long enough for a 4 x 8 sheet of plywood. Flipped in, the x-tender serves well as a bracket to keep items from sliding."

"I ended up putting the template for attaching the unit to the wall too close to the tailgate. I'll have to re-drill another hole. Your template may be too narrrow for a truck with a bed. The shipping box was badly damaged and the rails scratched but I installed anyway. I've had problems with FedEx Ground in the past. I wish you shipped with another company."

"It's a well built quality piece in my opinion. It's got more pro's than con's. Pro's: ------ Relatively easy to assemble. Fully adjustable to any width bed so no worries as to what the width of your truck bed is. Quick release knobs make removing/re-installing the extender a quick and easy task. Extremely light metal and construction makes it easy to lift out of your bed and to re-install. Expands to any size truck bed and is easily adjustable to the width of your bed, no pre-sizing and measuring, it can all be done "on the fly". If installed properly can easily "flip" back into the bed of your truck. Is lower than the height of the bed rails so it can easily fit under any tonneau cover. Con's: ------ Over priced for "... what it is...". Use of square hole screws make assembly a bit of a pain if you do not have the "correct" tools. Minor drilling of guide holes for the six screws to attach the quick release attachment clamps. The directions are not the best, but are OK if you just "think" about what you're doing. The aluminum structure most likely will not withstand any heavy load. The attachment clamps do not lock firmly onto the extender clips, making it a weak "link" in the application. I would recommend this product to anyone actually. I have no complaints as it suits my needs."

"Very happy with this bed extender, easy to install and use. Works perfectly to corral gear or four wheeler in a short box. Also is great for keeping groceries or whatever from rolling all over your bed when the gate is up."

"Not only is it well made, but it is a 2-in-1 item. It extends your bed for large purchases to avoid sliding out and it flips into the bed to coral smaller purchases sliding around in the bed. It was the best father's day present!"
