"I'm really glad I got the Husky Liners 5th Wheel Tailgate for my 2009 Ford i50. Main reason was that original Ford tailgate made rear vision difficult and in some cases impossible. The Husky Liners solved the problem. Now I can SEE when I back up and everything behind my truck. Did have to remove some metal to fit where the tailgate connects to bed of truck, but other than that, easy installation."

"The passanger side cup that fits over the box stud is to big rattles. There is no hole filler from the 51/6 " bolt to the 9/16 hole in the tailgate support cable very sloppy. Geno."

"Tailgate has great quality and finish, easy install with simple tools. The handle lock is a bit of a joke as anyone who wanted to take it could open it quickly locked or unlocked. Its appearance would catch the eye of a thief. Hopefully the cost of aluminum does not skyrocket like copper. Husky should consider guarding the close latches to make this product perfect."

"Excellent sales response, received the tailgate the next day! Fit and finish is excellent. Ease of Installation - Excellent. This is a 10 min. install. The lock for the tailgate handle is useless. The latches are easily accessed with the handle locked. Takes only seconds to release the latches, and bye bye tailgate! I fabricated and installed brackets to block access to the latch mechanisms. Took about 3 hours. I would rate this product outstanding, were it not so easy to remove the tailgate with the latch handle locked. But then it is just as easy to remove the original factory tailgate."

"The gate was a little hard to install due to the fact the left hand pin fit tight. Gate closes a bit hard. The appearance is good and the light weight is great."

"This fits great and looks ever better,, Have used for both 5th wheel and gooseneck hook ups,, also helps on Gas milage.. If you have to drive a diesal it does help. Really makes the truck stand out, have had 3 friends ask where we got it so far,, Lol even had one as if treuck was for sale.."

"this is a excellent tailgate but the only thing that wasn't was to protect the latches and cables so the lock is deceptive but other wise its still a great buy and welds are excellent. I just got lock bolt kit for right side hinge and that will slow them down I have had the plastic ones also and this is worth the extra money. BTW install was easy on my 2000 F250 Super duty 4X4"

"My new 08 Chevy had a different kind of mounting pin (oval shalped) on the left side. I had to order a locking rod ($38)with a hard plastic bushing to match the pin. Had to cut off the long rod to make the adaption. Wish you had furnished the bushing. Otherwise I am well pleased with the tailgate."

"Just followed the instructions, had my new tailgate on in minutes. I went to Auto Zone and purchased universal cable rather than ruin the original ones ($12). Looks far better than the black ones that cost half the price, the extra cost is well worth it!"

"The tailgate was very easy to install. However some people may not have the star wrench needed to remove the gate support cables. The new Husky tailgate has a nice snug fit and looks great on my white truck."

"I had to saw 1/4 inch off of the mount on the right side (passenger) of the tailgate before it would clear the right side of the bed mount and line up on the latches. After that was done it works and looks great."
