"the ez down was very easy to install, the instructions were easy to follow,except where to put the pcs. of foam and shrink wrap. i knew it went on the cable, but not sure where on the cable ,other than that very simple. seems to work well. i would recommend it to others, i think the price could be a little less , but i did like that it was free shipping, and i did get it within 5 working days."

"Teh ad on the video shows the tailgate slowly descend from the get go. Mine freely drops about 8 inches then the Dee Zee takes over. Still very worth while to have."

"With a little league team getting to the truck before me to load equipment, the idea of the tailgate dropping on one of the younger players scared me to death. With this installed in less than 15 minutes that worry is now gone. Easy install. Great product. The best low cost safety accessory I've seen."

"I thought about buying this earlier in the year, but hesitated since I have no problem lowering the tailgate myself. Three weeks ago, my tailgate was not fully latched and with my hands full of boxes, it fell open hitting my in the ribs and top of my pelvis. Luckily I didn't break anything, but man was I sore and purple for a week. This won't happen again with EZ Down in place.The EZ Down was simple to install on my 2001 Silverado Crew Cab in just minutes. I am impressed by how well it works, fits, and it looks like factory installed. If you are thinking about buying an EZ Down, do it now!! David/Oklahoma"

"Installation was very easy taking maybe 15 minutes. It works excellent on a heavy tailgate like that on my 2008 Siverado HD. A bit pricey for what you get. We'll see how it stands up to the salt/sand of the Northeast"

"Very nice product. Pop the release and the tailgate slowly drops open. No slam, bam just like the video. Easy install. Took me all of 10 minutes. I did add a little Loctite to the threads of the lower mount so it won't vibrate loose. Excellent service from Autoanything too."
