"One of the coolest things I've ever bought for my truck. Install was easy but you will need a t45 torx on a ratchet and not the little wrench that they give you. If you in and out of your tail gate a lot like I am its a great thing to have."

"The EZ-Down installed real EZ and works extremely well. I only wish I had one on my last two Ram's. No more dropping of the tailgate and the kids can now help me load for the up-north trips without me worrying about them letting the tailgate get away from them. The hole for the allen wrech was stripped but a quick snug twist with the vise grips did the trick."

"I had a problem getting the square bolt through the oval hole and after I got it in the allen screw stripped out and I had to tighten it with pliers other than that o.k."

"This item is just as advertised. Very easy to install. Took me about 30 minutes but I bet I could do a second one in about 10. My application was a 2003 Dodge Ram. The only problem I ran into was that the supplied torx wrench wasn't long enough to break the OEM bolt loose. I had a torx socket of the same size and used a ratchet instead. The utility value of this item is superior! I recommend it for all trucks and think they should become standard equipment."
