"Just as described and does just what I need in the winter for more traction. I was able to test this out on packed snow and ice, other cars couldn't even climb the hill and I didn't even need 4x4. The only drawback is the fill feels cheap and fits poorly, hopefully this will not be an issue in later years."

"Nice product and easy to install - just tie it off so avoid slipping and fill with water. I did have a problem extending the fill spout using the pull tabs - be careful. The plastic nozzle is quite rigid when cold. Other than that - it should work fine and provide enough weight to keep the rear in touch with the road."

"I don't use this for snow, I use it in the desert. My driveway is super steep and my Silverado is just too light in the rear. I should have a 4 x 4 but this works until I upgrade. I've been using sand bags, but this is much cleaner, and easier to remove when I don't need it."

"I installed sure trax in my Dodge Ram and my wifes big horn Dakota. We live in a snow belt in North West In. Plowing thru snow over 8 inches deep and yet to have any troble. I recomend this product to all the pick up truk owners.Thank you. Allen from South Haven."

"It definately helps with traction issues. I live in MN, so driving on snow/ice is a given, and every little bit helps. I drive an F-150, which is very light in the rear, and this made a significant difference, although it definately shouldn't be a replacement for a good set of rubber. Overall, a very well engineered product. Installation is very simple. I've already recommended it to friends and family."

"Terrific product. Recommended by a neighbor and it has solved our snow/ice traction issues in a very simple and effective way. Also bought one for our BMW X5 AWD -makes a big difference in that vehicle too. We have a mile of dirt road to get to our home outside of Santa Fe and I now have more confidence gettng in and out, it is no longer a "white knuckle" trip. Over all better ride in the big truck so will leave it in year round. Great price too."

"The ShurTrax came nicely boxed and was easy to lay out flat in the back bed of the pick-up. The installation was a bit tricky as the connection to the hose took some effort and the opening had to be pulled out from being embedded within the ShurTrax bed. It does slide a bit while driving but I have not yet purchased bungy cords to tie it down."

"I do not carry very much weight in the bed of my truck. My last truck was full of tools and oilfield parts, which made a huge increase in traction on ice and snow in the past. I heard about this product in a magazine, and thought I would geve it a try. I just installed it about three days before our first ice and snow of the year, and it made a great improvement in the traction of my truck. I am very pleased with this product."

"The concept is a great idea. Had my first snow storm and I could totally feel the difference. happy I purchased this product. The only bad thing was when filling the product not quite sure when you are at the 3 inch mark it's a judgement call you have to make. must supply own bungee cords. grade:A-"

ShurTrax@6200 Ft.- F-150 4 WD

"We live in the beautiful, green mountains of south-central New Mexico. Unfortunately, this year was predicted to be a light snow year and so far, it's true. Like the other reviews, the hardest part of the install was getting the fill spout to unfold. Had to use pliers; be careful! You can damage the plastic filler neck if you use the wrong tool. Hard to gauge the 3 inch fill recommendation; we used a plastic ruler. So far, the ShurTrax is working as advertised. The added wt. helps with ride quality. Of course the 4.6L works a bit harder, but we expected that. Hopefully, we will see some snow soon and can test it as it was intended. Ours is secured with rubber hook straps and has held securely. Have hauled heavy cardboard boxes and large, full plastic storage bins on top of the ShurTrax with no problem. Some nights, the water freezes completely, but the bag has held. Thus far, a quality product that seems to work as advertised."

"I bought as a Christmas gift for my husband and he loved the idea as he had never heard of them. They did help with the ride of the truck so it didn't feel like riding in a tank and also helped with the handeling in snow."

"bought two, one for my daughter and one for myself. Real big storm hit and these worked great. Grommets need c clamps to make them easier to tie down."
