I bought the largest size for my truck and it seems to fit perfectly. It will be a lot better than concrete blocks or sand bags. Looking forward to snow plowing season to fully test it out.

Put this in my son's truck for winter traction. The bag seems durable, but we'll have to see. The fill hole / cap are kind of a pain. I don't thinks they should have recessed it. Fat fingers like mine make gripping cap difficult.

Received this e-mail within weeks after purchasing. Filled with water did not leak. Fit bed of Dodge Ram 3500 Quad Cab nicely. Has not yet frozen here in Massachusetts that will be a big test for quality. Rubberized bottom would have been good so that it does not slide around in the bed.

My only negative on this product is that it is difficult to fill with water without introducing a large amount of air as well. With the added air, it is tough to figure out how much water is actually in it. My solution was to park my truck facing downhill in my driveway, take the filler-cap off, and fold over the bag until I was getting water out the filler-hole.

The weight seems fine.Even though I haven't driven it in snow yet I could feel the weight first time I drove so I have good expectations for it.My only problem was trying to fill the bladder with water.I could not get the valve to screw onto the bladder.I just held it in while I filled it so no big deal. Thanks for the follow up although I'm not anxious for snow I must say I want to see how my truck will handle it now.

Upon receiving the ShurTrax, I was surprised at how lightweight the bladder was. I unfolded it and placed it in the bed of my truck and had it filled within approximately 5 minutes. The only hiccup was installing the fill adapter. Because of the recessed plug, it was a little difficult to screw the adapter onto the fill plug. The rubber around the plug is sharp and there is not a whole lot of room for your fingers. I put on some mechanic's gloves and was able to attach the fill adapter after about 5 minutes of fiddling with it without gloves. Attaching the hose to the adapter was not a problem. I bought four 15 inch tarp straps and secured the bladder to the bed of the truck at the four tie-down points (15" is an optimum length to give a secure and snug attachment). The weather was below freezing for a couple of days allowing the water to freeze within the bladder. I didn't find any problems and observed no leaks. The 300 lbs provides good traction and enough weight to smooth out the ride (I have helper springs, so my empty bed ride is pretty stiff). With a couple of weeks of driving around, I am pleased with the overall appearance and performance. I can't wait for ice / snow to really see how much traction I achieve along with engaging 4-wheel drive.

Fills up like a waterbed,no problems with that! This is our first truck, first winter. I have peace of mind having extra weight for traction. I did buy strapping to hold it in place, although it is heavy enough to not shift around.
