"This product is a great alternative to blocks, etc. for added winter traction. Easy to install and stays in place. I have not noticed any shifting. Can still load cargo on top within reason."

Tie It Down

"Although I have a full size truck, I opted for the medium size Shuretrax to leave more bed room. I saw a noticeable difference in traction right away. Although it beats blocks and sand it will still shift if you have to make a drastic manuever. It needs to be secured in the bed using the grommets!"

Shurtrax works

"Great product does what it says. I have 2 trucks one with sand bags, the other with the shurtrax. The shurtrax is secured in the bed and doesn't move at all, where as the sand bags slide fwd all the time. I use to slide around corners when it rained, but shurtrax stopped that. It has increased the traction tremendously, in fact if I would run snow tires on my 4wd truck instead of the Pro-comp Mud terrains it would be a Tank and go anywhere! Thanks Shurtrax!"

It's good, but not great

"While this product does improve traction during the winter months, I had a few minor problems with installation. The fill valve was almost impossible to extract, I had to use pliers to remove it from this product in order to just fill it with water. My other problem with this product is that it is difficult to gauge how much liquid is in the product. The manufacturer instructs one not to add more than 3 inches of water, but without being able to see inside the product or without some sort of external gauge, the fluid level is pretty much a trial and error process. For these reasons I give the ShurTrax 3 out of 5 stars."

"I drive a ford ranger regular cab. After installing the shurTrax I have notice a significant improvement with my rear end traction especially on New England icy roads. I would reccomend this product to everyone that owns a pick-up and needs stability and traction."

"The ShurTrax seems to be a safe way to add much needed weight and traction to the back of your pickup. The only issues I had with the product was that tiedown straps are not included and the instructions regarding how much water to put in the ShurTrax were unclear."

"Read an article about the ShurTrax product last spring...as the fall/winter season is approaching, I decided to purchase the compact-sized version for my 2003 S-10. Since installation, the ride and handling have been markedly improved...much less bouncing and virtually no wheelspin when accelerating from a stop on a wet road. This is a product that's well worth the cost."

"Very well made, but the real test will be during the winter when it freezes.I made sure to follow the recommended level of water.I also built a plywood platform to cover it,so items will rest on the platform and not the bladder itself. Jim H. New York"

"I love this product, Way better than Sandbags. I like being able to drain it when not in use or when i need to use all the truck bed space I love this prodcut money well spent. It would have been nice if they included straps for holding it in space. The extra weight helps so my tires dont squeel like they used to with the sand bags."

"Great item. Gives me the ability to get traction on the road without having to put the 4X4 on all the time. Saving gas! Also, whether it freezes or not it still provides the weight and the bag is made so well, I don't have to worry about it breaking in the flatbed. Simple concept made to work efficiently."
