"I've only had the bar in place for a few weeks, and I'm very pleased with it. I have some plastic crates in the forward bed of the Ford Ranger, and I'm using the bar on the aft side to hold them in place against the bed wall. I bought a second bar and I'm planning to use it with crates braced against the tailgate. The bar seems sturdy enough for holding a variety of cargo in place. I have a hard lift up cover over the bed and I tend to use it as a big "trunk," for storing a variety of odds & ends used in rebuilding my sailboat. Moreover, little room is available for storage in the cab and behind the seats, so storage is important. I had considered using a twist-type bar, but the ratchet bar develps more pressure with the end pads to hold the bar in place securely. The ratchet makes it easy to do. I imagine that I'll keep the bars when we sell the Ranger and go cruising. I believe they will be useful for similarly storing crates on the boat. I don't know how they would fare in a high-salt environment. This was part of my first order with Autoanything and I'm satisfied with the experience."

"This cargo bar does what it is supposed to do, hold things in place in the bed of a pick up. I have been using this for about 6 months now, easy to use and adjust."

"Worked as advertised, right out of the box . . very easy to use . . currently use to hold/confine large, heavy crates of pool chemicals . . works so well I recently ordered a second Core cargo bar and will use to confine miscellaneous smaller tool boxes . . "Easy to use. It's been used several times for securing bulky items in the bed and I've have had no problems. There's a trip to the mountains this later this week and it should hold the items in my bed as expected. A worthy buy with autoanything."

"Got the Core Cargo Bar along with the LiteRider tonneau cover. The bar works great... keeps everything at the back of the bed so I don't have to climb up into the bed, and I was pleasantly surprised at how sturdy it was. Gary"

"I got the core cargo bar thinking that I could use it to hold a couple of heavy duty and easily swappable plastic bins in my truck rather than installing a permanent tool box. My problem with a tool box is that it always seems to be in the way and never actually has what I need. The cargo bar is heavy duty, easy to use, and ended up being fought over at my house - should it go in the SUV or the truck as intended. I almost acquiesed and put it in the SUV fearing someone would lift it from the bed of the truck because it was so nice. It ended up in the truck and it is exactly what I was looking for. If you were going to use it in an SUV, you would need to make sure you have solid sides in the cargo area to brace it. Sometimes SUVs have molded plastic sides in the cargo area that would not be appropriate for bracing such a heavy duty bar."

"I have been looking at these for my 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 for awhile now. After having our first baby and living with a stroler that slides around in the back of the truck, it as time to try it out. It adjust very quick and is solidly built. It holds well against my OEM plastic bed liner."

"I used to use a peice of wood slid into the factory supplied slots in the bed of my truck to keep cargo from sliding forward. The down side was that it made a lot of noise when I hit bumps and limited the size of the cargo at the back of the bed. The cargo bar is great, it doesn't slip and is very strong. I recently hauled two large containers of rocks from rock hounding trip to the desert and the bar held fast while blasting across the desert. I highly recommend the Core Cargo Bar to anyone looking for a similar product."
