Description

Sure, keeping the elements out of your bed is one of the reasons you bought an Extang Tonneau Cover. But, there’s one more place the forces of rain, snow and dirt can invade your payload: around the tailgate.

To keep your bed completely dry and clean, grab and Extang MaxSeal Tailgate Seal. It works with any brand of tonneau cover, fits any truck, and forms a tight seal around the sides and bottom of your tailgate. Made of industrial high-strength rubber, the MaxSeal can also keep loose loads like sand and gravel from leaking out of the bed.

Installation is a breeze—just clean around the inside of your tailgate, trim the MaxSeal to fit, peel the adhesive backing off, and stick into place. In fact, the whole project takes just a few minutes. There’s no better or faster way to help keep your bed clean.

Was looking for a bed cover, but hadn't given any thought to a tailgate seal. So glad I picked this up though, makes a huge difference when trying to keep the elements out.

This is a must have if you want to keep road debris from comming into the back of your truck, with having a cover on my bed.It also keeps some items from falling down between your bed and tailgate when the tailgate is down.

The instruction on the actual installation were a bit hazy. Couldn't really make heads or tails of the pictures showing the tailgate and the sidewall. I think all concerns would be taken care of if the instructions included where the sticky part of the strip goes on the bed of the truck. Sticky part up or down. Otherwise seal does exactly what it's supposed to do.

The Xtang tail gate seal works well, but installation on my 2008 Ford F150 was not easy due to the bed seam.

The product is good but could not be used easily on a 2008 Tundra. It is too fat for the closer tolerance on a Tundra and it took much pressure to close the tailgate, then it cannot be openned without pushing hard on the tailgate to release some pressure to prevent breakage of the latch. It would be a great product for some applications, not mine.

I live out in the county and drive 1/4 mile gravel at least twice daily to my home. My 07 GMC Sierra has a very wide gap on the top 3 inches of the tailgate and the seal dosen't even come close, but still keeps out about 99% of the dust. Well worth the money.
