Extang MaxSeal Tailgate Seal Customer Reviews

Sure, keeping the elements out of your bed is one of the reasons you bought an Extang Tonneau Cover. But, there’s one more place the forces of rain, snow and dirt can invade your payload: around the tailgate.
To keep your bed completely dry and clean, grab and Extang MaxSeal Tailgate Seal. It works with any brand of tonneau cover, fits any truck, and forms a tight seal around the sides and bottom of your tailgate. Made of industrial high-strength rubber, the MaxSeal can also keep loose loads like sand and gravel from leaking out of the bed.
Installation is a breeze—just clean around the inside of your tailgate, trim the MaxSeal to fit, peel the adhesive backing off, and stick into place. In fact, the whole project takes just a few minutes. There’s no better or faster way to help keep your bed clean.

The amount of grime coming into the truck bed via the tailgate was shocking. I expect this seal to eliminate that. No more dragging items through dust and filth after shopping trips.

This is the second time using this product for me, as I had to buy a new Extang folding cover for my new truck. Being a cheap guy, you look for ways around spending $30 on tailgate seal with a truck bed cover but there really is no substitute for this product. They have made it a little thinner on the fat side of it, which is an improvement. Bottom line, it does the job, keeping junk out of the tailgate to bed interface.

I have had trouble with dust, water, and snow accessing my truck bed around the tailgate area. This product provides a great remedy for this problem. It is a high quality and easy to install product. I am looking forward to the elements now as I have the MaxSeal at work.

Will this product help keep rocks and other objects from getting between the tailgate and the truck bed when the tailgate is down?
