The seal works great.. Its a good thing its a little long because you need a couple short pieces for the top sides of the gate. Do not push seal on all the way until you close your tail gate so you can adjust the seal and make sure it is in the right position before you install it all the way. It works great!

Just to let everyone know this is very easily installed with a good pair of scissors. Took longer to clean the metal than to install. I was a little disappointed in the amount of sticky tape there was to stick to the metal surface, to me there should have been at least 1/2" wide sticky tape on the rubber to hold better to the metal. Other than that worked great my son was in the truck when i closed the tailgate and sealed outstanding tight.

I had misgivings about this seal. bult after cleaning the area  extra good and applllying extra alchol the seal works it is very tight and I elimminated the tail gate rattles.

I was a little doubtful when I ordered the seal from the other reviews I read, but am glad I ordered it anyway.  On my pickup, "96 Nissan, the bottom seal went on great, but for the side seals I had to trim the seal for the latch.  When done and with the tailgate closed I feel I have a great seal around the tailgate.  I live in the country and have about ten miles of dirt road.  No car or truck seals out all the road dust, trunk or in the cab, but the Truxedo TruxSeal Tailgate Seal does a real fine job.  I would say that if you use your truck only on the highway you should have no problem.  Just be sure to follow the instructions and wash where the seal goes on real good, and the two alcohol prep pads, that are in the kit, are not enough, but some rubbing alcohol and cotton balls did the trick for me. I would reccomend this to anyone.

Product is overall "pretty good". I have an issue with the seal binding up and actually pulling away where the extra steel support for the tail gate hinges are supported. That particular area has too close tolerance for the profile of this product.

It may have worked better if I had routed it lower? My concern is to whether it would stick or not if I removed it and tried to lower it?

I guess I'll deal with it.
