Your truck was built for hauling, but the bare–metal bed is prone to dings and dents, and it leaves your payload sliding. Bed liners help with the dents, but not the sliding. Bed mats help with the sliding, but not the dents. And a custom spray–on liner does both, but your wallet takes a wallop. But now, you can defend your bed with the Al's Liner DIY Truck Bed Spray–On Liner Kit—the best of both worlds.
Al’s spray liner delivers the tough protection of a spray–in bed liner in an easy to install, wallet–friendly package. Composed of a 3–part polymer blend that adheres to virtually any surface, this coating locks out moisture and prevents damage. And, it’s easy to apply—just spray it on with Al’s Spray Gun. Plus, the quick–dry formula means you’re on the road and ready to haul in no time.
What’s more, do it yourself bed liner kits are a customizers dream. With simple paint pigment, this sprayable bed liner can be tinted to any color, for a truly unique look. Plus, you can tailor the texture to suit every need—from sleek and glossy to rugged and textured, there’s a finish for your job. And, Al's Liner backs your DIY Truck Bed Spray–On Liner Kit with a solid limited Lifetime Warranty.

Al's Nylon Cup Brush worked great on the back of my pickup bed. Also used it on Trac Rack ladder rack which worked great getting it prepped for spray liner. Caution get to close to your body it will prep you as well with a nice strawberry.

How much time do I have to remove the masking tape used to mask off areas before the tape becomes permanently adhered under the lining? Also, I plan on doing a fiberglass boat. Anything special for surface prep on fiberglass vs. a truck bed?

Hi, You definitely don't want to allow the liner to cure before trying to remove the tape. I would say remove the tape within 10 minutes for spraying. Your fiberglass project should be fine if you leave a rough texture for the liner to adhere to.

I want to use this as a finished floor deck in my Jeep Wrangler. I know heat and noise will be an issue without the carpet, so I'm sure I will benefit from the Heat and Noise Reducer. Do you know anyone who did this? Looking for suggestions on application. John T

So from what I see, there is a 20 minute pot life once mixed. Is this correct? IS this a 20 minute workable window, or does the product start becoming hot and setting up prior to the 20 minutes like an epoxy? This has me worried a little.

Hi John, I've seen it both rolled and sprayed on Wrangler and K5 Blazer floors. Both methods are pretty impressive looking.

I have seen a lot of reviews on Al's and very few complaints. I think there are quite a few complaints and reviews that are fake out there as far as I can tell.... AL's lining product is similar to Scorpion Coatings. I think I read that there was acrylic in this product, but I am not sure how this matters if at all. A few friends of mine have used Al's and it seems great. One friend did have some cracking and peeling on the back where the liner meets the top edge of the truck.... But I think that was because he installed them wrong. 20 minutes dry time is nothing to complain about. that's a sure fire reason to try this. I know herculiner takes forever to dry.... So, specifically... 1. What is in Al's? 2. Is it the same as Scorpion? 3. How do you prevent peeling from the edges?

Hi, Al's liner is pretty much Scorpion liner (Al's is offered to us by Scorpion Protective Coatings, sound familiar?) so you really are getting a great DIY coating. The real trick to getting great results is surface prep. Just like with applying paint, the cleaner and scuffed up the surface is, the better the coating is going to stick. Cracking would be due to an incorrect mix. Following the directions is vital for applying Al's liner, and remember, you only get one shot at it. Take your time and best of luck.

I can tell when I pull the triger that it is pulling from the cup/bucket but when I let go of the triger air contiunes to blow out the end. Is this right? Thanks for your help. Joe

Hi Joe, It's normal. Al's even states it on their online spraying procedure guide.

has anyone ever used this as a spray in their inground swimming pool.

Hi, You might be the first. I would test it on a smaller body of water first like a bucket of water or a bathtub before diving into that project.

What type of spray gun is needed?

Hi Jerry, the Al's Liner spray gun is highly recommended; however, you can spray it with any all-purpose air texture gun used to spray acoustics, ceiling textures, drywall mud, etc.
