Could not find a Pop & Lock for my 2006 Ford Ranger with metal handle, until I discovered AutoAnything. Easy to install and works great. Only thing I would suggest is to better describe the installation of the lock mechanism. I had to guess, and luckily I guessed right. Great product.

On a scale of 1 to 10 the instructions for my application were about a five. The illustrations left a lot to be be desired. Once I figured out how it all went together I had to disassemble it and grind about 1/16" off the locking cam, otherwise I could unlock it but not lock it. With that simple modification it works like a charm.

It took about 20 minutes to remove the access panel, insert the new lock, and get it working. This is not complicated or fancy, but it is effective.

It does NOT fit my '03 Ranger, even though it was claimed to do so. And yes, I have the (supposedly) correct lock model. Will have to either modify/re-weld the factory handle studs, or return the lock.

. The Pop & Lock was not hard to install. The instructions should have been more explicate on how the lock inself should be positioned.

The Pop & Lock Tailgate Lock looks good and works perfectly. The instructions could have been better. It took awhile to figure out what went where. It is a very good product. I would buy it again.

placed lock as per instructions seemed to work fine. until I tried to unlock the tailgate. I was finally able to open the gate with a piece of wire. went back to standard equipment. POP LOCK is on the Shelve.
