Review of the Lund Truck Ramp Kit

The concept of the ramp kit is very creative. And, while I haven't yet used them, I do have them set up and ready to go for when I pick up a new snow blower this week. One MAJOR PROBLEM I do see with the concept is the drilled holes (for the pins) to secure the ramps in place. I have NO INTENTION of drilling holes in my lined tailgate..I will find another means of securing them in place.

Just what I needed!

I needed to load my portable generator and lawn mower on my Ranger Truck unassisted. I followed the instructions carefully but please note, Douglas Fir knot free 2x8's are not that easy to find, so I opted for best construction grade I could find. I wanted a safety rail on the outer edges of the boards anyway to guide wheels and fastened metal 2x4's to provide added strength. The ramps worked perfect, but as always make sure you load with all safety rules in mind.

Excellent product, good, clear instructions on how to assemble ramps and material required. I purchased the Ramp Kit to load a very heavy rolling Tool Box - Everything worked just fine when the instructions are followed, including the type of wood that needs to be used for weight requirements, etc.

Cheap and Easy

Took me about 10 minutes to assemble and they work great. Glad I didn't spend $150 on metal ramps.

The kit works fine for my purposes - rolling a push mower onto the back of my truck. However, I think the kit would work best with a smaller / shorter pickup truck. I have a 2005 F-150 that is fairly tall. Per the instructions in the kit, the boards used need to be fairly long (about 10 feet!) and would need additional support to be used for anything really heavy. If I were loading a 4 wheeler or similar, I would spend the extra money for some snappy aluminum ramps.

Excellent Product

i bought this because i didn't want to spend 150 bucks on a ramp for my quad. i bought these and some wider pieces of wood and some grip tape and, in my opinion, i have a better, less steep ramp that has more traction and less incline than any 150 dollar ramp. for 50 bucks total. quick shipping also. easy to make. everyone should consider this before buying an expensive "quality" truck ramp

Simple easy to use

I love the ramp kit , I also painted my wood with airplane grade wing grip, ,dual purposes..first is traction and second makes the wood last .

After you've priced truck ramps, this ramp kit is a breath of fresh air. I used it to unload a 200lb portable generator from out of my Nissan Titan pickup bed. No problems. Did it by myself. Made it easy. Highly recommeneded? YES
