Review after one week: The cargo bar is made from solid steel. It has a durable coating of some sort that is textured. To describe the feel of it, imagine the texture of steel coated in spray-on bed liner then dipped in polyurethane. I don't know what it is, but it feels and appears as though it could survive a fair amount of weathering and abuse. The screw-action tensioning works very well and provides a firm grip of the bed walls of my pickup. Highly recommended.

Nice thick material looks like it will hold things in the bed for many years. Love that it fits across without sagging. Nice product!

We saw this attractive, colorful tailgate net on a truck ahead of us as we were driving down the road. Loved it! Now that we own one , we love the chance to show our patriotism!
