Surco Eliminator Anti-Sway Bracket Reviews

Surco Feedback

Reviewed By George A S (Hamer, SC) Reviewed for a 1999 Ford Explorer —3/15/2006 2:07 AM

I absolutely like the design and concept of the anti sway bracket. It's an idea so simple that you wonder why no one had thought of it before -- sort of like ViseGrip pliers. In the past my concern had been with the noise cause by a loose fitting receiver assembly, especially on bumpy roads. I used another well known product, duct tape, to take up enough of the vertical and lateral space around the hitch ball assembly to sufficiently eliminate most of the noise. Now, my purpose is to add additional stability to a cargo platform (approx 23" x 48") that will carry my electric wheelchair. The platform is rated for 500 pounds and the chair only weighs 74, so weight is not an issue. What could be an issue would be the vibration caused by a loose fitting hitch assembly. As I was installing the anti sway bracket, I was amazed at the simple utility, and the solid feel. I intend to leave it on the cargo carrier all the time. Other times, I'm just pulling a utility trailer or a boat trailer. I could see where it would be beneficial in those applicatons also, but the wheel chair cargo carrier my most pressing concern. It occurred to me, also, that the attachment of the receiver and the hitch assembly could (with a lightly loaded trailer, cargo carrier, etc.) could possibly be of assistance if the pin holding the hitch assembly to the receiver ever vibrated loose. I intend to try it out on my newly finished cargo carrier this weekend and I'll get back to you next week with the field trial results. Art

Classic Accessories Hitch Tote Reviews

Hitch Tote worth the price

Reviewed By gary s (ACME, PA) Reviewed for a 2013 Ford F-150 —2/4/2015 8:44 PM

I've bought two of these hitch tote bag recently, one for my F150 Crew Cab and one for my son's recently purchased Toyota 4Runner. I feel they are slightly overpriced but are so nice and convenient I didn't mind paying that much. I have not seen another product out there that is just the right size for hitch, pins, and electrical adapters.

CURT Skid Shield Reviews

Curt skid shield

Just in time for deer hunting season. : ) After installing my curt trailer hitch to the front of my 2013 Ford F-150. My thought was that I needed a way to protect my hitch from catching on any thing out in the woods. This fits the bill perfectly. Protects with a very heavy duty plate and looks GREAT! I would recommend this to all my friends.
