I reserve one star as I cannot speak for long term durability. I did need a bracker bar to remove nuts the bracket mounts to. Works well and should save stress on older knees. I did install no drill mud flaps to reduce the amount of matter slung onto step as well as the running board. Stays put in the stowed position just do not forget to retract it.

we designed something similar ourselves by destroying a perfectly good ladder! however, it didnt fold up and had some minor issues. i wish i had seen these earlier! what an awesome product and price!!!! you have to modify the tailgate on a 2017 SuperDuty (the material is literally paper thin where the ladder attaches, but with 2 supports added to the inside of the gate and it works just fine). awesome product!!!

Truck N' Buddy

Using this product for a dog step more than a human step. Works well as a seat for a person as well. I did not install the handle as there is a cap on the truck. I installed some individual tape strips on the steps as added traction for the dog, otherwise it is slippery. You may have to use longer screws if there is a tailgate protector. I installed it over the protector and drilled some optional holes because of alignment issues.
