2017 QX50 Install...

Reviewed By George B (Royersford, PA) Reviewed for a 2017 Infiniti QX50 —6/21/2017 11:34 AM

It is not a simple bolt on. We fit it 7 times. Not a driveway item, either! 5/8" had to be ground off the right side plate and most all the holes on the left elongated. A few on the right as well. Had a certified tech help and he let me use the lift. Exhaust was dropped and supported. When you hook up the muffler and the hitch, it is very heavy! Did on one my wife's EX35 and damaged the evap box and got a CEL. We fit this one 7 times! Went in nice and the pipes sit well. 2 person job!

Easy installation

Reviewed By Scott B (Brecksville, OH) Reviewed for a 2015 Infiniti QX60 —1/18/2017 7:49 AM

Biggest issue was cleaning the rust and dirt out of the existing holes. Maybe include a small pipe cleaning brush that can be used to clean threads on vehicle.

Second adapter

Reviewed By Cory J (Rochester, MN) Reviewed for a 2016 Infiniti Q50 —9/7/2016 5:51 AM

My Q50 was the first to have a hitch installed; the dealer took the vehicle to Curt Manufacturing to be measured and once the hitch was built, Curt came to the dealership to install the hitch. At the time, they provided a T-connector for me to install. After about two years and infrequent use, the tail lights failed; signals and brakes still worked. I had to order this replacement; hopefully it holds up.
