Covercraft Truck Stop Cargo Bars Reviews

Very Convenient

Reviewed By Aaron C (Bakersfield, CA) Reviewed for a 2006 Toyota Tacoma —8/14/2014 9:44 PM

Well made, sturdy, easy to set up and remove, cargo net holds a lot of stuff. Was a little confused on how it attached at first, but figured it out after looking at the picture on the box. Great price for a great product.

New & Tight

Reviewed By Darwyn L (Topeka, KS) Reviewed for a 2006 Toyota Tacoma —8/18/2007 4:54 PM

After receiving the cargo bar, I noticed that the operational directions were very simple, yet the bar acted stubborn. What I did was worked the bar vigorously to "break it in" in an in and out fashion. Apparently, the gear system that operates the in and out motion is more of a rough cut than a precision cut. Work that bar vigorously to get it to smooth out. They are good bars but will bow when tightened more than snug to secure heavier loads. I used them to secure 2 full 5 gallon water bottles in the back of my truck and they held fine. You might want a heavier gage metal cargo bar for toolboxes or appliances. An Anti-Slip bed mat works well in conjunction with this lightweight bar. The pivoting rubber end pads are a nice touch. Cost vs. value is really good.

Two Problems With My Install

Reviewed By Warren W (CEDAR CITY, UT) Reviewed for a 2016 Toyota Tacoma —7/21/2016 11:31 AM

1. Bracket (with latch mounted) would not install per directions (using right side holes). I had to reverse it, and thereby placing the bracket (using left side holes) over built in bed tool compartment access door, to get it to latch properly. Now, I can not use the built in bed tool compartment as the bracket prevents the door from opening. 2. Small plastic clip on the bottom that holds the pull lever in place kept popping out. I had to superglue it in place.
