I had gained experience with the bed extender product on a loaner truck. Had to have one on mine. Best decision ever. Aside from extra bed length, the "corral" created when stowed is my high point. I also have a roll- up tonneau installed. I had to space x-tender brackets out 1.5" from each side to clear rails. NO BIG DEAL! I won't be with out a bed extender on future trucks!

Materials were of good quality. However, instructions were poorly written. Even if you follow the instructions carefully, it will still take you more than one hour to install. Paper guide should be made of good quality card stock, not flimsy paper. Everything should be pre-marked to save time and no measuring should be required.

Easy installation with good instructions and drill templates. I replaced the kit-provided screws with rivets and added some velcro to the tie-down straps to keep them from flopping around in the bed after installation. The Bed Extender is well made and installs under a tonneau cover with no issues. Very satisfied with the product.

This was easy to install on my Toyota Tacoma. Works great. Easy to take off and store on a wall hook in the garage. Can flip into the bed so can use to hold items inside the bed when you do not need it as a bed extender. Very pleased so far.

What is the difference between the two? The pics don't look any different when you change the selection. Thanks.

Hi, Since there were two types of Silverado's in 2007, Classic and New body style, select what you have. You will then notice a choice between a black and silver bed extender.

Will it fit?

Hi, Yes it will fit, but you need to know if your Silverado is the older body style (Classic) or New body style. The beds are different.

Anyone with a 11 or 12 Superduty 6 3/4' bed that can tell me if this installed makes an 8' clearance for drywall at the inner posts. I am wanting this one but if I can't fit the drywall then I will get the MAX.

What is the clearance requirement from side to side of a trcuk bed? I have a Ram 1500 Quad Cab with a six foot bed. The problem I may have is that the distance from side to side may have been reduced with the addition of a remote controlled/powered bed cover. I now have approximately 59" of clearance. Please advise me if there is enough room to add your bed x-tedner on or not. Thank you in advance.

I would expect there to be some clearance issues as the bed extender is the same or close to the width of the tailgate.

Is there a way to lock down the extender so it can't be stolen? Mounted on Nissan Frontier. Thanks for any info.

Two methods come to mind. You can either install a tonneau cover which would prevent access to the bed or purchase a set of security torx head bolts and the correct bit to install them from your local hardware store. Both methods will only deter theft.
