The standard spark plugs in your ride may deliver that necessary spark, but do they enhance the performance of your car, truck or SUV? Take your ride’s power up a few notches by chucking your stock plugs and equipping your engine with Pulstar Performance Series Spark Plugs.
These performance spark plugs increase horsepower and torque by up to 12% thanks to a built-in capacitor which stores energy from your ride’s ignition coil. That energy is released in an intense pulsation that ignites fuel at a more rapid pace than ever before, resulting in a more efficient combustion process and a power difference you'll feel in the seat of your pants.
Feel the power of 1,000,000 watts with these custom-sized plugs. What’s better, they won’t harm or void your engine’s warranty. Plus, your Pulstar plugs are covered by a limited Lifetime Warranty.

The plugs did not work for the V W engine. They made the car buck and hesitate when you tried to accelerate. VW does not run on a different plug. I would not recommend them for any VW with Turbo engine. One would think the parts company would know this..

Honestly they seem like good spark plugs. However, I still don't think their performance merits their price. But it was getting time for me to change my spark plugs so I figured why not. I did test these Pulstar plugs against a new set of Motorcraft plugs before deciding what to keep in my car. I concluded that the Pulstar plugs do indeed make the car run better than the Motorcraft plugs. I now have lower RPMs at highway speeds and slightly more pickup. If you have the cash consider buying them.

it took my cars computer a few days to figure out the new spark but once it did my millage improved by 4%+ i went with these plugs as i am running ETHANOL in my car to be more green. i have a computer interrupting the fuel injectors to match the fuel/air (14.0.1)ratio and with these spark plugs i am seeing an overall better millage the regular gas.

Got these installed in my Kia Spectra 06 just fine. Car started up right away and is running good a week later. Didn't really give me a performance boost but I drive like a grandma anyways to preserve my car in every sense. If these last a good 60,000 miles I'll be really happy with this.

The plugs were a direct match for my vehicle;AutoAnything matched the part perfectly. I not sure if I notice any gains in horsepower or MPG, but it was time to change my spark plugs. Satisfied customer.

Are they pre-gapped for my vehicle

Hi Cynthia, I always recommend using a gapping tool for spark plugs even if they are pre-gapped. Spark plug tips can be slightly tweaked during manufacturing and shipping.

How many spark plugs does this include? Hp/Tq gains?
Answered by Nathan S. — Feb 08, 2013 2:38 PM
Hi, The plugs are sold as a set of 6 in your case and will generate up to 12% more power over your worn, misfiring, stock plugs. A dyno test after installing these plugs is the only sure way to tell as every engine is a bit different.

How exactly do the platinum (eco) plugs improve mpg vs. the iridium (performance) plugs? And same thing with HP on the iridium's over the other. Don't they both perform the exact same function? Same technology right? what's different? I'm seeing a lot of reviews under both plugs with very similar claims!
Answered by Nathan S. — Jan 31, 2013 8:59 AM
Hi, They call the iridium plugs "performance" mainly because iridium plugs transfer less metal during spark events and will outlast platinum plugs. A spark plug not only has to generate a spark, it has to do it reliably and have good longevity as well. "High-performance" does necessarily mean "increases horsepower. A good example is a mop. A style that cleans better than other mops has "high-performance" cleaning ability. So in terms of longevity, iridium plugs have higher performance than platinum plugs. So, now we get down to the good stuff, horsepower. The choice between the two comes down to your ignition system. If your car comes with platinum plugs from the factory, you probably will see more power with the platinum Pulstars than the iridiums. Remember, your ignition system needs to operate with the correct amount of resistance to generate a hot spark. Too low resistance and the voltage won't have a chance to build before jumping the gap. The result is an anemic spark that may or may not find air/fuel mixture in the combustion chamber. In some cases, a standard resistor-type plug purchased for a $1.25 makes more power than an $8 plug.

The best choice will be the Pulstar Perfomance Series plugs and your vehicle will require one set of four spark plugs.

my question is how will these plugs help with a motor thats running rich ; i have a quad set up of 4 carbs on a 4 cylinder motor ; motor is rebuilt has a 10-1 compression ; 4-2-1 headers etc. will these help with the rich fuel fouling my champion 12y plugs.
Answered by Nathan S. — Jul 17, 2012 11:38 AM
That is going to depend on how rich your engine is running. I can see the Pulstar providing a better spark and a cleaner burn but it sounds like you may have a different issue if one or more cylinders are experiencing a rich condition. The compression ratio change and headers will certainly have an effect on how the carburetors will react due to the changes in engine vacuum signal as well as the total CFM's of your four carb setup. You certainly have more than enough CFM's to run at high rpm but you might have too many to allow the carbs to function properly through the idle circuits as the lower engine vacuum will cause the fuel to dribble rather than atomize from the carburetors. I would recommend the use of a carburetor flow gauge if you are using Weber side draft carbs. You may have to re-jet them to prevent plug fouling.

You will use your OEM gap, all plugs will come with the proper instructions. You can call your local dealership or look under the hood for the gap.
